PSVBA was founded in 1989 by legendary hall of fame coach Janice Kirk and has been providing quality coaching and training to the volleyball community in the Puget Sound area ever since. PSVBA continues to produce nationally competitive teams and college-bound athletes and contributes greatly to the promotion and development of volleyball in our Region.

PSVBA trains and develops some of the best junior volleyball players in the Puget Sound area year after year. Hundreds of former PSVBA players have gone on to play in college, including several Collegiate All-Americans and a former member of Team USA. A handful have gone on to play professional volleyball overseas or on the pro beach circuit.

PSVBA is for elite-level athletes who are serious about volleyball and want to train and compete with other players of similar ability and commitment. The competitive, team-oriented, and athletic experience can enhance social development, instill a good work ethic, contribute to mental and physical health and teach values of personal responsibility, goal setting, self-discipline and self-motivation.

Our driving mission is to raise the level of competitive volleyball in the region, and we strive to qualify our teams to compete in the Junior National Championships held in late June-early July at various locations in the U.S.

PSVBA also prepares its players to compete on the collegiate level. Over 2,500 colleges and universities sponsor volleyball teams for women, and many of these schools offer partial and/or full athletic scholarships to help defray the cost of higher education.

“The competitive environment at Puget Sound Volleyball Academy is top notch! Their experienced coaches are knowledgeable & achieve great results! Year after year you can count on PSVBA to produce high quality volleyball teams!”
