In five (5) years I see myself…In college continuing towards my master’s degree in aviation.

Some advice I’d give to younger players is …Always push past your limits, be dedicated in everything you do.

Something about me that most people don’t know is that I can “almost” do the splits.

I’d like younger players to put in the work cause others around you are always getting better too and don’t cheat yourself in practice because in the end you’re hurting yourself and your team

About Me

Some of my favorite volleyball moments are winning our district tournament and being a role model and example for younger girls looking up to me!  I want to remind young players to believe in yourself and have confidence in your skills.  Also, to have fun and leave everything you have on the court while building up your teammates!  I’m so inspired by my parents, they always give me good advice and support with my decisions! They are both successful in their own ways and it inspires me!  In 5 years I see myself working in Dentistry and living in Arizona!

I’m inspired by my mom because she is dedicated and overflows with compassion and patience with everyone she works with or is around. She pushes me to be the best version of myself and reminds me daily of what I need to be grounded in. She pushes me to pursue my faith daily and I wouldn’t be where I am today without her. I love you mom!

Something most people don’t know about me is I really love to make art, especially pottery and painting, but I don’t do it very often because I don’t have a lot of time. When I do have time though, it brings me a lot of joy and peace.

In five (5) years I see myself working in a hospital as a labor and delivery nurse, while working to get my master’s degree as a nurse practitioner. I hope to have my own apartment and to have a dog, specifically a golden retriever 🙂

My advice to any younger player is to work to be the best person and have the best attitude that you can in whatever role you are placed in. Whether it is on the court or on the bench, have a great attitude, encourage your teammates, and respect your coaches. One of the best things about volleyball is your teammates, so walk into the gym every day with the mindset that you are going to be the best teammate. You can only control what you can control, and being a good teammate is one of those things, so make a positive impact and create a good culture. This will get you more respect from your teammates and coaches then being the “star athlete.” Your coaches will notice a player being positive and impactful over one that is not, so be the noticeable one.

I want to first thank my parents. They have invested so much time and money into my volleyball career and experience, so I couldn’t have done it without them. They have loved and supported me through this journey that started 6 years ago, and they continue to love and support everything I am doing as a move onto the next stage of my career and life in college. I want to thank all of my coaches that I have had because everyone has grown me in such different areas whether it be volleyball or life skills. I want to specifically thank Coach Kasey Yost, who I started my volleyball journey with, because he instilled in me my passion and love for the sport and I wouldn’t be pursuing college ball without his influence on me. Also, I want to specifically thank Coach Bobby and Jill for investing in me and coaching me the past 3 years at ER and also my last year at Puget Sound. I have learned so much from them, and I wouldn’t be pursuing my dreams of college volleyball without their support and help along the way. Lastly, I want to thank all of my teammates throughout my whole career. The relationships I have and everyone I have met along the way have taught me so much. I am forever grateful for all of the memories that have come from playing over my career, and specifically this past season at puget sound, with my teammates. I have had so much fun this season and I am going to miss everyone so much!

I’m inspired by my mom because of her hard work and how she’s gotten where she is in her career and how much she does for our family.

Something about me that most people don’t know is I love to be in the kitchen baking, cooking for my family being with my dad while he cooks.

In 5 years, I see myself graduated from college working as a real estate agent and having my license in different states planning to start my own brokerage.

Some advice I’d like to give younger players is Never give up! Don’t compare yourself to the next girl because one day you will be someone that people look up to. But to also remember to work hard because it will not be handed to you, you have to want it and work for it.

I would like to thank my parents, siblings, and coaches because they never stopped believing in me and also push me to be great.

In five (5) years I see myself continuing schooling at a chiropractic college.

Some advice I’d give to younger players is reach out to college coaches the earliest you can!

I would like to thank my coaches over the past few years at Puget Sound, for the support and most of all being patient with me. As I started off volleyball my 15s year I felt like I was behind lots of other played with knowledge and skills. While my coaches had patience with me, I have build up those skills and am now continuing my love for volleyball in college!

The people who inspire the most are definitely my parents, they have given me everything I could ask for including a work ethic which I am extremely thankful for. There has never been a time in my life that my parents haven’t been working hard, they have dedicated countless hours from car rides to tournaments to help my dream of playing volleyball a reality. I am thankful for everything they do, and I know I wouldn’t be who I am today without them.

Something about me that most people don’t know is I used to cry at America’s Funniest Home Videos because I thought they were too mean.

In 5 years, I see myself Graduated from college and working in a field/industry that I love.

Some advice I’d offer to younger players is to enjoy the time you have with your teammates, they will become your closest friends.

I would like to thank my parents and grandparents for being there consistently. Coach Bobby and Jill for helping me grow this past year and continue to love volleyball and Coach Syd Norris for convincing Coach Brian to recruit me at Montana Tech.

I’m inspired by my papa. Growing up, he never swore, he never yelled, and he never had a bad thing to say about anything or anyone. After he suffered a stroke and suffered complete right side paralysis, he never stopped working to get better for himself and for his family. As hard of a situation he is faced with everyday, he continues to never complain and look for the positives in every aspect of his life.

Something most people don’t know about me is the blue spot on my left arm is a birthmark, not a bruise.

In five (5) years I will most likely be in a doctoral or graduate program.

Some advice I’d give to younger players is understand that you are not perfect. Have confidence in yourself and put faith into the training you have put hard work into.

I’m inspired by my mom because of how much she cares for people and goes out of her way to make them happy. Anyone who knows her knows how much she loves to give and I hope to one day be as generous as her.

Something about me that most people don’t know is when my mom was a kid, she competed in the Junior Olympics as a synchronized swimmer, so whenever we go on vacation and there is a pool, I always try to mirror her talents, and absolute fail every time.

In 5 years I see myself in grad school earning my certification to be a nurse practitioner.

Some advice I’d like to give younger players is “Never stop playing for your teammates, those people will be some of the best you ever meet!

I would like to thank my parents for supporting me most through this journey. Not only have they financially supported me, but I do not remember a single time where neither of them were at one of my games. Even if the truck broke down on the side of the road (true story) they both still showed up.
